Five Guys

So here's something. I start school again this Tuesday and just got an email from the professor letting us know her course materials are now on Blackboard. First I read the syllabus, and it has an exciting set of readings. The course covers American intellectual and cultural history with an emphasis on politics. I've got three of the books already, and am halfway through the second. All good so far. I then looked up the class roster to see if I knew anyone. Two of the guys I know from my program, but not the other three. And maybe because I could see butting heads with the two students I do know I became disheartened that it's an all-male class. I felt myself brace for a less civil, generous classroom atmosphere. It's not my final judgment, but what surprised me is my clear disappointment. Is this horrible of me?
